"Better Today" - Tell us of a time when you turned up a better version of yourself.
Well, there is an earnest hope that you everyday, you are a better version of yourself! Today and everyday. Are you? If you are writing your daily diary of stories, then yes, you are better everyday.
So tell me, how else are you turning up better?
There are days when we simply show up.
And then, there are days when we show up differently.
Better. Braver. Kinder. More patient. More present. More you than you’ve ever been before.
Maybe you reacted with grace in a situation where you’d usually snap.
Maybe you said sorry first. Or spoke up when you usually stay silent.
Maybe you tried again, when you could’ve walked away.
Or forgave someone. Or forgave yourself.
Maybe you resisted an old habit, changed a pattern, redefined a boundary.
There was a moment—big or small—when something shifted.
You noticed yourself evolving. You didn’t need anyone else to notice it.
But you knew. You were better. That day, you showed up as the version you’ve always wanted to be.
Tell us that story today.
🌀 What happened?
🌀 What made you choose differently?
🌀 What did you feel in the moment—conflict or clarity?
🌀 What part of you showed up that surprised you?
🌀 And how did this moment shape who you are becoming?
How to Use This Story?
This is a story of growth. Use it to reconnect with your inner compass. Maybe this is the story you need to reread when self-doubt creeps in. Maybe it’s the story that reminds someone else they can choose differently too.
Share it with someone who’s seen you struggle. Or someone who inspires you to be better. Or tuck it away like a secret note to your future self.
Storytelling Tip:
Let go of the idea that “better” has to be big. Small shifts often lead to big changes. You don’t need drama or a grand transformation. Focus on the emotion. The choice. The effort. Let the reader feel the subtle but powerful shift you experienced.
And if you can, document this story with something symbolic—a picture of the space you were in, a song that played that day, or a quote that came to you. Stories of becoming are worth remembering.
