“Story Walk” - Take your phone for a walk. Take pictures / videos of what you see. Put them together to tell a story. Don’t use a voice over. Invite your audience to write a story for you.
Let’s have some fun shall we?
Take your phone for a walk. Take pictures or videos of what you see. Capture the sights, the moments, the scenes that catch your eye and make you pause. No need for a voice-over. Just the images and video footage that tell their own story.
Once you have your collection, put them together. Think of it as creating a visual narrative. Let the images or clips speak for themselves—each one telling a piece of the story.
Now, here’s the twist: Invite your audience to write the story for you. Give them the photos and videos, and let them interpret the narrative. Let them get creative! This exercise encourages a new way of storytelling where visuals lead the way.
How to Use this Story?
Once your story is complete, consider how it can be shared.
Social Media: Post your photo/video story and invite your followers to contribute their own versions of the narrative. This will spark engagement and creativity.
Blog or Website: Use the story as part of a larger collection of visual stories. It’s an excellent way to invite audience participation and show the diversity of interpretations.
Personal Reflection: Look back at your own photos or videos. How did they make you feel in the moment? How does the story change when you revisit it after time has passed? This story isn’t just about what you capture—it's about the meaning that others find in what you present. Let it be a reminder that storytelling can take many forms, and sometimes, it’s the audience who brings the most unexpected and meaningful insights to the table.
